All group visits last approximately
1 & 1/2 hours and the group will have their own designated amazonia ranger.
The structure for the visit…

Guided Tour (30 Minutes)
A guided tour of Amazonia, with frequent stops at various animal enclosures to discuss areas relevant to the class topic.

Animal handling session (30 Minutes)
A private animal handling session, where pupils have the opportunity to meet and learn about a variety of animals.

Our NEW Interactive Session (15-30 Minutes depending on group size)
Pupils will participate in an age specific climate change workshop in our dedicated interactive room, learning about the impacts of climate change and how we can all work to reduce the effects.

Preschool - P1 early years level

Animals
To introduce pupils to a variety of animals and what they
need to live.
Minibeasts
To introduce pupils to the world of invertebrates and their importance.
The Rainforest
To introduce pupils to the tropical rainforest and the plants
and animals that live there.
Senses
To explore the five senses through multisensory activities and to discover how animals use their senses.

P2 - P4 level 1

Rainforest Animals
To give pupils an understanding of tropical rainforest and better knowledge of the animals that can be found there and how they survive.
Life Cycles/Food Chains
To teach pupils about the variety of life, how animals and plants live, grow and how they are connected.
Rainforest Ecosystems
To teach pupils what a rainforest is, why they are important and how we can help protect them.

P5 - P7 level 2

Rainforest Animals/Classifications
To give pupils a strong understanding of animals found in tropical rainforests and how they are adapted to survive.
Rainforest Ecosystems
To give pupils a strong understanding of the rainforest climate and how rainforests are important globally.
Rainforest Resources
To give pupils a strong understanding of the rainforest climate and how rainforests are important globally.

S1 - S3 level 3

The Rainforest: Animals and Adaptations
To give students an understanding of how animals have evolved and how their adaptations help them survive.
Rainforest and the Environment 
To give students an understanding of the rainforest ecosystem and how they are important globally.
Rainforest Resources 
To discuss the many resources which come from the rainforest and their significance to modern life.

S4 - S6 level 4

The Rainforest: Animals and Adaptations
To give students an understanding of the diversity of animals and how animals have adapted to survive through learning or genetic behaviours.
Rainforest; Resources and the Enviroment
To create awareness of the negative effects happening to rainforest ecosystem around the world and how we can help to protect them.
