Sun beetles will grow to about 2.5cm in length. They are yellow or gold with brown spots.
These beetles live in tropical areas in Central and Western Africa.
Sun beetles live on a diet of ripe fruit and other vegetation.
Once it has developed from an egg to a beetle, this animal will live for 2- 5 months.

Sun beetles hatch out of eggs as white grubs. After 3-5 months of living
underground, they pupate and 5 weeks after that they emerge as a sun
beetle.
Although they don’t do it very often, these beetles are surprisingly good
at flying.
