(Eublepharis macularius)

Description

Leopard geckos are small, ground-dwelling lizards – similar in appearance to the African fat tailed gecko. Leopard geckos tend to be yellow with black spots, just like a leopard, however other colour forms are common in captivity. Youngsters are much brighter than adults.

Habitat & Distribution

Rocky, desert and grassland regions of northwest India, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and southern Asia.

Diet

Small invertebrates.

Conservation Status

Least Concern.
