Amazon Milk Frog

(Trachycephalus resinifictrix)

Description

Amazon milk frogs can grow fairly large, reaching up to 3 inches. They are dark olive green or brown in colour with large bands of off-white or grey on the body. The belly is also a pale off-white or grey colour. These frogs are good at climbing and have specialised toe pads on their feet to aid with climbing.

Habitat & Distribution

These frogs can be found in the canopy of very humid areas of rainforest. They are seen in Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.

Diet

Small invertebrates.

Conservation Status

Least concern.
