Totally unique in Scotland, an indoor tropical rainforest packed full of exotic animals. Come face-to-face with nature at Amazonia!

Themed on the Amazon rainforest, Amazonia is a tropical house with free-flying birds and butterflies and also houses snakes, bats, monkeys, kinkajou, parrots, leafcutter ants, tarantulas, fish and many more interesting beasties! On the day of your visit participate in one of our animal handling sessions to get closer to some of our creatures!

Meet our Snakes this July!

13th – 14th July, Amazonia’s biggest snake event!*

12-4pm: Reptile Arts and Crafts
2pm: Snake Handling Session**
3pm: Snake Feeding

* Children must be accompanied by an adult. Under 3s are FREE.

Amazonia Interactive

Be amazed as you and your friends are digitally transported into the Amazon rainforest.

Reach out and interact with monkeys, leaf cutter ants, toucans and lots more. It’s fun and educational, as you learn everything about the creatures of the Amazon from the data wall, the first in Scotland!

Be a Keeper for the Day

Do you love animals and looking to get up close and personal to some exotic creatures? NOW you can! Be a Keeper for the Day at Scotland’s Indoor Tropic Rainforest, helping to feed and handle the amazing Amazonia animals and reptiles. With packages for a range of ages, including our Mini Keeper experience for 5-7 year olds!

Curriculum for Excellence

Amazonia is the perfect place for classes of all ages to enhance their learning outside of the classroom, getting up close and personal to exotic animals and learning more about their habitats.
