We are delighted to have chosen YAMS as our chosen charity partner for 2024.
Based in Newarthill Library in Newarthill, North Lanarkshire, the charity supports people from across Scotland living with mental health difficulties.
Anyone can attend their hub on a Monday evening from 6.30pm until 9.00pm however, the charity hosts a number of drop-in weekly activities including fitness classes, craft and chat, walk and talk and a parent and toddlers meet up. A range of additional services are also available including counselling and complimentary therapies.
All events and activities are free of charge and, as a result, the charity relies on fundraising and grants.
The charity was set up in honour of Gemma Jones who experienced mental health challenges and sadly passed just before her 30th birthday.
We will be providing support to YAMS throughout the year in various ways, however as there are so many other worthwhile organisations we are also hosting a Charity Windfall donating 1,000 tickets during 2024 to charitable and good causes.
Charities can apply for tickets to provide a great day out for the people and families they support or perhaps to thank volunteers and there’s a huge variety of tickets to apply for including M&Ds Scotland’s Theme Park, Amazonia, a Tropical Indoor Rainforest, Krazy Congo Indoor Soft Play, Devil’s Island Adventure Golf, Halloween and Christmas events.
