Topic: Rainforest Animals

Aim: To give pupils a strong understanding of animals found in tropical rainforests and how they are adapted to survive.

Learning Objectives:

  • That animals have behavioural and physical adaptations to help them survive.
  • How to identify and classify different examples of animals from their features.
  • To discuss different animal life cycles.
  • That animals inherit characteristics from their parents which might help them survive.

Topic: Rainforest Ecosystems

Aim: To give pupils a strong understanding of the rainforest climate and how rainforests are important globally.

Where rainforests are found, their climate and the seasons.

How the rainforest climate is different to our own.

How humans are using rainforest land for farming and agriculture.

How human use of land is impacting rainforests.
