WHITE’S TREE FROG

(Litoria caerulea)

Description

This is a large species of tree frog, reaching 4 -5 inches in length. Females are usually slightly longer than males but it can be very tricky to tell them apart. Colour can range from a dark bluish green through to emerald green and this colour can change slightly in response to temperature changes or to aid with camouflage.

Habitat & Distribution

Rainforests in Australia and southern New Guinea.

Diet

Medium to large insects.

Conservation Status

Least concern.
