VEINED TREE FROG

(Trachycephalus venulosus)

Description

This fairly large species of frog has a mottled greenish-brown colouration with lines of darker colour running through giving it the name veined tree frog. These frogs spend most of their time in the trees and have sticky toe pads which help them to climb.

Habitat & Distribution

This species is found in both wet and dry lowland forests in Central and South America.

Diet

Small invertebrates.

Conservation Status

Least concern.
